2009 IN REVIEW Well, last year Massimo made 18 predictions. Of those 18, he got 12 of them right, and of the six misses, he was half correct on two. The economy did start its turnaround by the third quarter; there is still major conflict in the Middle East; this has been a year of very turbulent weather; the West did have more wet weather and the East was hit with some major snow and cold weather; 25% more Americans filed for bankruptcy in 2009; it looks as though Hillary Clinton is testing the water for a 2012 Presidential run; American schools are adding more days to their school programs; smaller businesses (mom & pop) are starting to rise; larger malls are being emptied and smaller outdoorsy types are becoming more popular; the ÒfamilyÓ is definitely becoming the norm again; people are becoming more interested in being physically fit at about a 20% increase over 2008; and more and more people are seeking spiritual/psychic help. Massimo did not predict correctly that there would be less than 8 banks left in the USA, as a matter of fact there are more opening up; he really missed on being green was a passing phase; moviegoing is up 15% over 2008. However, more states are banning the use of cell phones while driving and their use in restaurants (half right); dramatic series and action shows on TV are being replaced, but not by funny sitcoms, they are being replaced by reality shows (half right); and lastly Mentalism is gaining momentum on the entertainment field, but did not hit the big time yet. MASSIMO'S PREDICTIONS FOR 2010 The 2010 economy will continue its growth and people will see gains in their portfolios and income. This may be the year the Middle East conflicts ease up. The weather in the USA will be harsh and very turbulent. Iran will give the nuclear quest, but South Korea will still be a major menace. Twitter will be king and blogs will lose ground and all but dry up. Sarah Palin will up her visibility and continue keeping a high profile. Stock market will continue to fluctuate but overall rise a bit. An investor can expect an overall gain of 6-8 % instead of a 10% gain. Arizona will grow economically and the return of the housing market will be better than expected. Nevada will be not share in the economical growth as much as desired. Advertisers will be very careful on who they choose to endorse their products and will be keeping a very close control on them. The Federal Government will be handing out more "stimulus" programs and "giveaways." Consumers will start to pay down their credit cards and fewer will be using them. Tiger Woods will not wait much longer to rejoin the golf tour and put his ugly matters behind him. This year Massimo is giving an overall astrological forecast. Massimo is predicting in general for each astrological sign. 2010 for Aries: During this period Aries will have a positive attitude towards life and will be over confident. Aries will continue to wield power and authority either in government or public life.
